About Isle & Ember

Isle & Ember was born from a longing to reconnect—with place, purpose, and presence. The name itself captures this essence: Isle, symbolising Malta’s sun-drenched serenity and grounding energy; and Ember, the quiet spark within each of us that fuels curiosity, creativity, and renewal. Together, they represent balance — between stillness and fire, rest and inspiration, island calm and inner glow.

Founded by Emilia, a hospitality professional who grew up in Malta and spent several formative years on the island before moving abroad. After more than a decade living between Switzerland and London, Emilia returned to Malta in 2025, drawn back by its warmth, food, and rhythm of life.

She studied Hospitality and Tourism in Switzerland and went on to build a career in the fast-paced corporate worlds of real estate and finance — environments that, while rewarding, can easily absorb one’s energy and shift focus away from what truly matters: balance, presence, and connection.

After years in the city’s bustle, she returned to Malta — a place where she truly feels grounded. Knowing every corner of the islands, Emilia decided to invest in what she calls the best investment of all: travel, wellbeing and presence.

Through Isle & Ember, she invites others to experience Malta from a different perspective — one that blends vitality, culture, and discovery. Each retreat is an immersive journey curated with care, bringing together yoga and movement, local cuisine, storytelling, and hidden gems of the Maltese archipelago.

Emilia believes there is no better place in the Mediterranean for retreats than Malta — a land surrounded by water, steeped in history, and alive with flavour. Her goal is to make Malta a destination on every traveller’s bucket list, offering moments that inspire reconnection and leave each guest refreshed, inspired, and speechless.
